I was not really happy with the chickens I had, but they were all that I had so I continued to breed and look for the best ones.
Then I went to a local reptile show and found a lady, with lots of tattoos that had an Ayam Cemani rooster for sale. She was from south Florida and said she was breeding them for her local 4H club. She said she had no available chicks right now, but would in the spring, they were $100.00.per day old chick. So, I started saving and waited for spring.
Spring called me in- the spring of 2020 COVID time! It was March of 2020 when she let me know she had five chicks available. They had just shut down everything, school included-but I risked life and limb to travel to outside Miami to get the chicks.
